I should mention that I've tried listening for the oscillator frequency 
produced by the SDR dongle and have also transmitted on the frequency 
the dongle was tuned to.  That's why I think that I might have a dead 
SDR Dongle.

Yesterday, I heard of a DStar hotspot in a dongle, but I haven't checked 
it out yet.
