No speech, no way. It is not a radio I'd recommend for a blind person.
Mostly menu driven, and if you're not quick enough, say take a second to
refer to your braille list to see how many clicks takes you somewhere,
it drops out of menus, no beeps or anything. I have one because I won
it shortly before my wife died and she thought it was so neat I won
something, I've sort of kept it, but I don't use it much at all. If you
do get one, you'll need the q s y e r and also an external tuner. Only
cool things about this radio are its size, and it covers up to 440. I
sure wish it had speech.
