Hopefully, if this is the initial development of lung cancer, they can deal
with it before it becomes worse.
I have a colleague in my department at the University who is battling the
same thing, and, at least for now, his lung cancer seems to be under
control. ... So, here's hoping.

Subject: Possible very bad news
As most of you know, I have been battling cancer for a number of years. As
of late 2013 my cancer was in remission, which according to my docs was a
miracle as my cancer had led me to hospice care. In any case, because of
some recent chest congestion I was sent in for a chest X-ray, and
unfortunately the chest X-Ray showed 2 spots that my docs are concerned
might be lung cancer. I have never smoked in my life, but having had other
cancer, all bets are off. I will be undergoing additional testing, but for
the moment, things are pretty scary. When I know more I'll let everyone
know.
