Hi list, I had replied earlier that even the new VR Stream will
often give information about titles and artists when you are
streaming internet radio and yes, HD radios do display the same
information, so does the Sparc radio do the same if you select
the right menu function? That would be another good question for
Doug to ask them. Jim WA6EKS

Those HD stations also send out information about what's
currently playing
don't they? Are there any digital radios with a computer
interface so we
could get that info as well?

Steve and all:

One thing that does bother me about the radio is the claim that
it has voice
prompts for the visually-impaired, but that the menus don't
speak. This
could cause issues if the menu button is accidentally pressed,
and you could
end up changing things you don't want to change, with no way to
correctthings without sighted assistance. I think Doug did us
all a favor
by contacting the manufacturer about this only partially accurate
claim, and
it will be interesting to see if he does get any kind of
meaningful response
