You may be able to hear 29.66 in the Dallas Fort Worth, Texas
 area. It is
CSQ or 192.8 Most time the tone is off so CSQ will work.

Hi, Colin. Thanks for the info. Will give it a try, especially
 the
 simplex frequency.--Matt.

Some require a tone, but most do not.
There is a 1500W 10 meter FM repeater out of new york on 29.62
 which you
 can
hear all over north america most days...W2kq it is I think.
29.600 FM is the international simplex calling frequency and you
 can make
 some neat contacts on there.

Subject: 10-meter Repeaters, a Few Questions

Hi, Folks. Am using the HandiHam system/remote base until my
antenna's up. Are there many 10-meter repeaters, and what's the
 split?

Also, what kind of luck have folks had in terms of operating on
 six
meters in any mode? Thanks in advance.--Matt, N1IBB.

P.S. Made my first phone contact via the HandiHam remote base
on
14.240. Spoke with KD8ZWI. Nice to do phone on HF!
