Thanks for sharing this, Dave.

As many of you know, I grew up in south-central Pennsylvania, so never got
the chance to listen to XERF.  There was a station on 1570 from Ontario,
Canada, with the call of CFOR, that tended to dominate that frequency most
nights.

However, of course, I did get to listen to Wolf Man Jack on WNBC in New
York, when he was there for a brief time in, I believe the late 1960's and
early 1970's.

I'm sure there are people on this list who remember the Mexican border
blaster station XERF.
