With the kt-100 and the molex connector, the internal tuner is automatically
disabled.

John:

What is the power range of the KT200?

And, I hear what you are saying about the tuner tuning when you transmit,
but wouldn't that be a problem if you had the rig's internal tuner enabled
at the same time? I'm always worried that I'll forget to turn the internal
tuner off when using the outboard tuner.

The AT series tuners don't interface with newer Kenwoods which is why they
came out with the KT-200 tuner, it will interface with newer Kenwoods. Now,
that being said, no matter what LDG tuner you have, as soon as you try to
transmit, it will tune the antenna if the SWR is high, so why it matters if
it's interfaced I don't know. You'd need sighted help to set the cut off
point but I had mine set when I ran it, so that if it saw an SWR more than
1.5:1 it would tune the antenna as soon as I tried to transmit no matter
what I did and that worked very well.
