Something like the Signal Link USB from Tigertronics.   A USB connection 
between pc and the small unit.   Also a cable between the unit and  one 
of the mini din's on the 480.    The unit has an internal sound card, 
and knobs on the front for  tx out and rx in levels, and for the unit's 
built in vox.


Also a number of things from West Mountain radio (Rigblaster's). 
Unless you have multiple soundcards in  your pc(or a USB sound card 
attached) you would probably want an interface with a built in sound 
card to prevent screen reader audio from being transmitted.

You can see what others are doing and maybe keep you from trying to 
re-invent the wheel.

You can also do an  rx test with a simple audio connection between 
radio and pc's soundcard.    All kinds of software out there:  Digipan, 
MixW, MMTTY, Truetty, etc.

You might want to confirm that your setup of software, screen reader, 
and whatever can tune, decode, and speak out the received stuff, before 
you spend any money on an interface.
