It is true that Yasu rigs don't have speech nor beeps, but I successfully
used an FT1000 and FT1000MP for 15 years.

Both with PC control.  It is that which is more useful than the beeps!

Yasue is not blind accesible.  If you are looking for a starter rrig, the 
TS-440,ts-570 are good to look for.  Some sellers will ship to other 
countuies.  Gary KB2YAA
