Ed, I have to differ here.  Holding RFAtt switches the receive antenna.  As 
you say, it's the phono jack in the lower left corner of the rear panel 
looking at the radio from the front.  To switch from antenna 1 to 2, hold 
the PreAmp button, just below the power button.

You can doo all this with JJRadio too.  I often forget just what switch is 
what these days.

    By holding the rf/att button, that changes from ant1 to ant 2.  The ext
rx and jack is the left hand phono jack on the left side of the rear panel
looking from the front.  it has two dots by it.   73

You are right and I stand corrected.   Like most of the bells and
whistles on the 590, this is one I've never used, or I would have known
how to turn it on.

I better read that manual again.
