  I have a 16" Acer Aspire laptop (4- or 6-core AMD 4-bit CPU, BluRay
drive) which has served me well for about 3 years -- until last night.
It worked fine on he weekend, but I got home Monday evening to find that
after 5-10 minutes of use, it presents me with the "New and Improved"
(but not especially helpful) Win10 version of the Blue Screen of Death.
The most helpful detail shown is that the cause may be
"WHEA_UNRECOVERABLE_ERROR". The OS did make one attempt a Automatic
Recovery, but that had no apparent effect.

Is there anything I should try before asking a local Laptop Repair
shop to see if they can at least save my data?
