I attended my first hamfest of the year today. It was the Cave City Hamfest
in Cave City Kentucky; though it is actually put on by the Glasgow Kentucky
club called the Mammoth Cave Ham Club. The turnout was not nearly as large
as usual because of the heavy snow fall and ice we had this last week, but
even still, it was lots of fun and good to see the other hams in the region.
There was a lot of old stuff, lots of junk, but among the junk were a few
pearls too, like a very nice TS-2000, TS-480, several nice ICOM, and Yaesu
rigs, including a like new FT-101e. I ended up buying another TM-V71a, but
it does not have the voice module. So, I'm looking for a VGS-1 Voice Module
to go in it. Do any of you have any recommendations on the best place to
find a good price on one?
