You can also do it by voice. Just say the word "and" between the names.

For example say:

Text Jim and Bob and Deb and Dolores are you ready to meet for lunch

Hi all, I can't figure out how to send a message to more than one person on
the iPhone 6.  I hit compose and type in the names, but it doesn't work.  I
can send to one person with no problems.  I have received messages .  I just
can't send them.
