Buying used coax is like buying a used condom.
Its only $120 for 100 feet with connectors already attached on amizon.
I don't know what wireman charges.
It sounds like a lot, but for say 25 years of dependable operation, its
cheep.

yeah, I would definitely agree with you.
I've had problems with used coax more than once...mostly because of water 
getting into the coax at the outside connecter end and rotting the ground 
shield...not to mention UV damage of dialectrics and so on.
I know it can be a cost for a couple hundred feet of coax, but if you want 
to get on the air and have minimal issues, I would bite the bullet.
