yeah, I would definitely agree with you.
I've had problems with used coax more than once...mostly because of water
getting into the coax at the outside connecter end and rotting the ground
shield...not to mention UV damage of dialectrics and so on.
I know it can be a cost for a couple hundred feet of coax, but if you want
to get on the air and have minimal issues, I would bite the bullet.
