Also, my TS590 arrived back here today from Kenwood Service Center East
after undergoing the ALC power spike mod, so will get that set back up this
week-end.

Tom,

Don't give up hope.  You had said that you thought the W1AW/KH8 was going to
do this week as well, and looks like you are right.  I heard them this
evening just after 2300 UTC on 28.035, weak but copyable here.

Maybe you can snag them this weekend on CW or a WARC band while everybody is
doing SS.  Also heard them Monday afternoon on 10 SSB, so they have been
doing both modes.
