Thanks Butch.
I was thinking about control pannel, I hope I can tell windows to only use
the realtech sound card.
Now when I loose sound I loose the ability to access control pannel to tell
it anything.

You need to tell the computer which to use as the default sound card. It
has been a while, but as I recall, I went to control pannel and then to
sounds and audio devices. There are some control tabs, I set audio and
voice to the internal sound card, my computer uses realtech and usb device.
As far as seeing your router, you can get high gain antennas if your router
has removable antennas. You can get a range extender or a repeater, or you
can get a usb wireless device with a much better antenna.
I can do some searching, there is one I have I bought a cdouple yoears ago,
not even sure where, but it is very sensative. I'll look for that link.
