Also be sure you are not connected to DC power when you poke around
inside. The 590 always has power to it when connected to DC.
Pressing the on/off button on the front panel just wakes it up. So be
sure no DC power is connected.
Also at this time of year, and depending on what part of the country you
are in,that evil static electricity should be considered. You don't
want a big fat spark from your fingertip getting inside the radio.
