I think that reading Phil's message, his tongue was firmly planted in his
cheek.

Geeze Phil, you suffering from PMS or something? Part of being on this list
is showing some forgiveness, patience, and tolerance towards others for
continuing off topic posts and repetitive subjects that never change, even
though the subject matter in the body of the email has changed long ago.
Yah I know, I too have suffered my own irritation at stuff on this list,
but come on, it's only day one of a brand new year! We still have to muddle
through 364 more days! Best 73, Jim WA6EKS

Subject: Golden Words About The Golden Microphone Thread By A Golden Ham

Yeh, you guys,

That goes for ground rods, antennas, amplifiers, power tubes, your new radio
gift for Christmas, where W1AW is operating over and over again, what gage
of wire to use for your wire antennas, loop discussions verses inverted
vees, band reports and conditions endless discussed, off topic postings that
aren't even ham radio related, your pitiful problems relating to your
limited space for a tower or antenna, sun spot cycle reposts, those endless
postings of ham radio related emails, your old rigs you ran when you were a
kid and now are trying to get back on the air, contest scores of yours or
somebody else's, and what is this deal of you silly hams requesting somebody
set up a schedule to QSO on the air when you could just call somebody on the
phone instead. Even worse, setting up dad blame CW nets for the blind and
for side band. Come on! I'm beginning to think this outfit is becoming
less and less ham radio oriented and especially when a subject is
repetitive. Oh, sure, I know I can just hit my delete key but why should I
do that when you just keep talking about all the same old ham radio crap on
this freaking ham radio list. Come on! Get a life, will you?
If you'd be
more like me, you'd be a hell of a ham and would know better.
Maybe I'll
take my ham business elsewhere.

Phil.

From the "just wondering" department, is it really necessary to have
several dozen posts about the Goldline microphone. This kind of just about
infinite length threads about trivial subjects is one of the main reasons
that I am seriously considering unsubscribing. An awful lot of the posts
to this reflector are totally useless, and serious time wasting.

 Hello Junior,
Well you know what both of my Kenwoods sound like on the air and
I have
 one
 on each of them.
I get nothing but good comments on my audio.
I am not bragging, just trying to answer your question.
 Best 73!

Is there anyone on the list that uses a Heil goldline Microphone
on
 the Kenwood ts2000?
I had a friend send me one in the mail today.
I wondered how well it sounds on the ts2000.
 Thanks for any info.
