A waterfall is the visual display of digital signals in a software
program. The colored line representing the signal usually flows down
from the top of the window, like a waterfall. There may be a number
of such lines representing all the signals in that part of the band.
A sighted ham would use his mouse to click on whichever signal he
wants to copy, and the software starts to decode it. For a blind
ham, it is probably a lot easier to use a program that allows some
keyboard method . Like use of left and right arrow keys to jump between
signals, like in Digipan, or the old Digitalk.
