I read Popular Communications regularly, including their utility column.
This station might be DDK-(some number), a meteorology station from Hamburg,
Germany. If we begin to not hear it in the evenings this winter, this could
be it.

i've noticed that as well. Here in Pennsylvania, its audible most of the
time but it really pounds in during the evening hours. No idea what or where
