Alan,
My dreams of big towers and yagis are long faded. It's a 6 band Hex
beam on a push up mast. I've had 2 elements of a Mosley up there on
a short boom for several years turned with a Channel Master rotor. I
put the Hex together last week and put it up on the same mast/rotor
combo, but knew that it wasn't going to work long term.
Tomorrow or Friday I'll drop the mast, pull the antenna and rotor off
and put the Yaesu rotor on . Antenna is about 5 sq. ft. and about 27
lbs. With only about a foot of mast above the rotor, it is well within
the specs for the rotor.
