As the words to my favorite spiritual says: "Gona lay down this world,
shoulder up my cross, gona take it home too my Jesus. Ain't that good news?
It surely is. Your dear Vernon may receive his salvation at the hour of his
death. So, there is always hope. My own dear son has forsaken righteous
living. But, I will continue to pray for him to the Lord our God, and take
heart remembering for nearly 20 years, Saint Monica prayed for the
conversion, (salvation) of her dear son Saint Augustine. Who eventually
became one of the fathers of the Church; and, according to his confessions,
he led a worse life than does my son. I hope, smile. Won't you all have a
most marvelous reunion when you go to live with God. It will surely surpass
any any of us has while here on earth. I know I am looking forward to
seeing my dear husband and our parents, and my other relatives.
