Colin, where is the square of four pins located? I gather you
unhook the TS590, turn it over with the front of the rig oriented toward
you, take off the bottom cover, then where to look? I think it may be near
the right front corner right? 73, Jim WA6EKS

there are four pins in a square.
There is a jumper bar, plastic on the top that is shorting two of these
pins.
You simply pull the jumper off and move it over to the other two pins
It's easy enough to locate because it will feel like two sharp pins beside a
small plastic rectangle...and it's the only thing that feels like that on
the board.

Butch, do you move a jumper from one set of pins to another, or
do you cut a jumfer? Jim WA6EKS

See my previous note, I don't recall exactly where the jumpers
are, I'll
see if I can find jumper numbers though.

Can you send the procedures for this mod for the TS590?
I'd also be interested in the procedures for the TS480 if they
are out there
somewhere.

I did it on my 590 and it did help a lot, not very close to
strong stations
though. I had to get sighted help, first to find the jumers,
and second
they are very very small.

I hear there is a mod to increase the kenwood sensitivity on the

Has anybody tried this on the 590 or 480, and what do you think?
