To be sure, you might want to get an ARB704 buffer box for this purpose.

They are available from the usual ham equipment dealers for, I believe,
around $50 or so.

Just be sure you tell the dealer what you are trying to do, so they give you
the correct interface cables.

Subject: RF power amplifier with the TS-590

Seems to me there's a connector on the back of the 590 for keying the =
power amp.  Should one worry about current and/or voltage employed to = key
the amp?  I have a Dentron Clipperton L that I'd like to use with = the 590.
Maybe I should have an intermediate relay to key the amp, huh? =  Any ideas,
please?
