Phil, yes, I heard that incident when the Canadians finished the American
National Anthem when the microphone cut out. What happened was amazing,
heartwarming, and even emotion-provoking. What struck me, however, was that
the Canadians knew all of the words, which caused me to ask: "how many
Americans know the words to the Canadian National Anthem?" The Canadians
learn a great deal about the United States in their educational system, but
Americans learn very little about Canada, its political system, it
geography, or anything. It clearly delineates how ethnocentric we Americans
are, which relates to a much broader problem of our poor relationship with
other countries in general.

Did any Coast to Coast member listen, or hear, November 22ND when the
Canadians finished the American National Anthem when the microphone cut out
during the song? I'm not a Coast member but I sure would like a clip of
that because it was so cool. The Canadian guest host describe it a little
before playing the clip and did a wonderful job explaining what happen at
the hockey match.
Phil.
