Hi!

I am thinking about getting the MFJ 998 external auto antenna tuner
<https://www.hamcity.com/store/pc/MFJ-998-p293.htm> together with the MFJ
5114K interface cable <http://www.hamcity.com/store/pc/MFJ-5114K-p2127.htm>
for my Kenwood TS-2000. Supposedly, with this setup, 1) there is no need
for a separate power supply and 2) the TS-2000 interfaces with the MFJ 998.

Is this true? Does the tune function operate by using the TS-2000's "tuner"
button? Are CW squawks heard if (and if not) a match is attained?
Generally, is this basically a seamless integration with the TS-2000, and is
this a "good" setup?

Richard KK6MRH
