I started a couple of years ago with ham radio, and I do like the 
kenwood radios.  I have had the Ts480, the Ts590, and the 
Ts2000.  Also the baofing radio.  They all can work.
I remember when things had knobs, and most all appliences, radios, 
etc could be worked fairly easy.  With everything  all that have 
remotes, and all are different, and lots of touch screens, it is a 
challenge, but keep looking  usually we can find something to work.
