Jim, thanks for the iPhone tip; I'll be more careful about that.

Ron, I had trouble with this too. I could maybe get one number entered, and
that's it. Then I discovered that I was leaving a finger or two sticking
out over the sensor at the top, the one that tells the phone to use either
the earpiece or the speaker. When I curled my other fingers, so that
nothing was sticking out over that sensor, the problem went away. So just
make sure you have just that one finger over the screen, and you should be
ok.

Subject: Re: IPhone question

I use EchoLink some on my iPhone to access several 2 meter and 70 CM
repeaters, and sometimes when I need to press a number or button, the screen
is blank, and I cannot figure out how to get the screen back, showing me the
numbers and icons. It doesn't always happen; just sometimes, but I cannot
figure out what causes it to happen, and I cannot figure out how to get the
screen back when it does happen. It especially happens when I am calling a
phone number and then, when I get an answer requiring me to select a menu of
choices, like press 1 for English, 2 for Spanish, 3 for Martian, etc. Any
suggestions on how to resolve this problem?
