Here are the answers I received regarding Brittle, thin, breaking nails:
1 ) No Vitamin D in body/ low Vit. D & Calcium
2 ) Paint nails with Nailtiques (go to website to see where to buy it)
3 ) Nail hardener (ie Sally Hansen)
4 ) Try Biotin Vitamin and Nailtiques
5 ) Try 1 T of unflavored Gelatin daily
6 ) Check Thyroid - specifically TSH & T3 T4 and Thyroid antibodies
7 ) Caused by low stomach acid - take Betaine HCL with meals; book about
Stomach Acid or
www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/absorption-issues
8 ) Prenatal Vitamins work well
9 ) Wear rubber gloves to do dishes and cleaning plus take Biotin
10) Seaberry Oil (wasn't clear if you take this by mouth or massage into
hands??)
11) Nutrient deficiencies &/or fatty acid deficiency
My nails are the WORST they have ever been so will try some of these
remedies!! Thanks to all who replied :-) Margo
