I like it Rhonda. Keep writing. It's true and honest. (smiles)

> I sit here listening to the rain falling on my roof and wonder if I truly
believe that if I make a conscious effort to "Be still and know that You are
God" that, somehow you'll speak to me. What would you say? Why should you
speak to me? Surely, there are more important people with whom you could
speak. But I sit here, with the rain falling the sound wrapping around me
like a blanket and I wait. The scripture advises one to be still and know,
but when I'm still, I know too well my own weaknesses, my tendency towards
worry, and my unspoken fears. But the verse doesn't end there, it says know
that I am God. What does that mean to me? The answer to this question is
important. Do I see God as a creator, an all-powerful being, one who knows
everything, one who is everywhere at once? Is he far away, unapproachable?
Can he be touched by my pain, by my tears? Can he? As a little girl longs
to be loved, valued, treasured, accepted, I want so to believe He can, that
he does, and will.
