Matt,
Of course it depends on sideband or CW but normally the bottom 25 KHz have
the most DX to be found. On 20, 15, and 10, on the other hand, you'll find
lots of DX, when condition are better, 30 and 40 KHz above the bottom of
each CW band. Phone is a different matter, On 20 sideband, 14.200 is a
good place to start tuning. 25 KHz above and below that frequency is where
lots of DX will be found when the band is good. Working 75 meters and 160
is much different on phone but on 40 meter phone, starting at 7150 and
tuning 25 KHz above and below that is a good area for DX. That's just a
thumbnail sketch, Matt. If you need more specifics, let me know.
Phil.
