Actually, I have seen pvc and plastic casing these days in wells, you
just have to look and see. Believe it or not, I don't have a ground on
my station, I know I should, but seems like every time I start grounding
stuff I get all kinds of ground loops, and I don't have a good way to
get out side to aground without running a long wire. One trick, if you
have to do that is use a piece of coax, center is the wire from rig to
ground rod and take shield on each end to that center with a .001
capacitor. Keeps the ground wire from acting like an antenna.
