Bob and all,

I spoke with kenwood and since it only happens on the 2 meter side, radio is
fine-as I wanted to make sure. <smile.

Kenwood also stated to try and reposition the antenna so will be trying
different places-though till yesterday this position  I have it in was
working excellently. 

I was thinking it could be an SWR issue, but most likely not.

Will have somebody just check just to be sure.

I'd like to thank each one of you who responded to my query.

I will keep you posted and let you know what I find.
