Hi!
When I am on VHF, first I hit the "Power" button (second column to the left
of the tuning knob, second from the top) and I hear a high pitch beep. That
puts me in output power adjustment mode. Then I use the Multi-channel knob
(MCK) to adjust the output power level (far right on the rig, second knob
from the top). Once set, I hit the same "Power" button to exit that mode;
hearing a low pitch beep. Assuming all this is correct, following are my
questions.
1. Does this MCK (ratcheted) work where all the way counter-clockwise takes
me to the minimum, and all the way clockwise takes me to the maximum? Put
another way, it does not roll-over if I keep rotating it the same way,
continuously cycling through, right?
2. Assuming "1" is correct, if I rotate the MCK all the way
counter-clockwise reaching the minimum and upon hearing a "beep", I am at 5
watts. Rotating it all the way clockwise and upon hearing a "beep", I am at
the maximum of 100 watts. Right?
3. Each "click" is 5 watts, noting that I have not adjusted the factory
default, right?
4. I will hear a "beep" whenever I hit the minimum )5 watts) and a "beep"
whenever I hit the maximum )100 watts), right?
5. Finally, this is all the same if I am on the HF bands, but if I am on
the 70cm band the maximum is 50 watts, right?
