Hope Its OK 2Post This Here, As It's Free, and can be helpful to blind
computer users.
This appeared on a local ham radio list late yesterday. I've not used the
info, although I did follow the link and read the article via my IPod Touch.
I would assume that whatever accessibility issues attended other editions of
Windows XP, would accompany this one as well.
Thanks, Danny Dyer, WB4idu

"In case you absolutely positively have to keep running Windows XP"
An article about extending the update life of Windows XP systems. It
appears that Microsoft released an edition of Windows XP in 2009 for point
of sale terminals which will be supported until April 2019. This may be of
help to some hams who don't want to get rid of an otherwise perfectly good
computer.

Here is the URL:
Extend life of Windows XP

The article also pointed out that this might be a good time to try Linux.
New "Long Term Support" versions of Ubuntu (14.04 LTS) and Linux Mint (17
LTS) are now available. Both of these distros have good support for ham
radio with such programs as fldigi.
