Hi all:

I've already tested my station through a dummy load and the reduced 20M output still occurred.
I have also tested the antenna direct when I was having that 75M SWR spike and the numbers were:
30/1 on 75M, 2.5/1 on 40M and 5/1 on 20M. I didn't try 17/15/12/10 because don't operate very much on those bands.
My own tuner failed to keep that spike down on 75m with 200W but had no problems handling the rest of the tuning on 40 and 20M along with the 600W CW output from my amp, except for 20M due to the low output.
When my tuner returned from my friend's bench, after he did some work on it, it handled my antenna perfectly on 75M but when I tried my amp, with 500W CW, I heard a hissing in the back of the amp, not in the tuner or rig.
I re_installed his tuner and everything was perfect. His roller inductor and capacitor is much heavier than mine and I can't help but wonder if this is why Zero Five recommends the Palstar or some other heavier tuner.
They offer a remote tuner version but its only rated at 200W. I tune mine in the shack with about 100 feet of coax. I've had a very good relationship with Tom at Zero Five but if these antennas are truly a danger to equipment, then I should look for the refund and maybe look into the Hustler 6BTV.
I'll call Tom and Ameritron today and get this sorted it out.
I'm very perplexed.
