My original questions last November:
There are two forms of typhoid vaccine - an inactivated vaccine injection, or a series of four live vaccine oral pills CDC states that "Anyone whose immune system is weakened should not get [the live oral] vaccine.”
As a biopsy diagnosed celiac, I adhere strictly to the GF diet. Should I still get the injection, since celiac is an autoimmune disease?
Any experiences?

Thanks to several of you who replied, some in depth.
Consensus is that so long as we celiacs are maintaining the diet, our immune system is not weakened.
That said, a couple of people cautioned against the oral series, on the general theories of “Why aggravate a sensitive system?” and “I wouldn’t ever consider a live vaccine."
Both my wife and I chose to take the oral series, and neither of us experienced any of the listed potential side effects, except perhaps a small amount of fatigue. But at the time, we were really busy with final preparations for our overseas vacation (which was great!).
