Sorry, I must disagree with Michael';s assessment of the ts2000 and
accessibility.
1. it does give an accessible means of setting power output.
2. at least with the internal tuner, it will let you know if swr is out of
its range to tune.
As to the birdy, yes, that is a bad one.
The 590 is great, but the 2000 is perfectly uesable.
