Will be working the contest too from out here at the camp site, so will look
for you, Mike, and will look for KW3A and others as well.

As a side note, I installed my little MFJ auto-tuner extender, and the thing
seems to work as I had expected.

All I have to do to get the auto-tuner to tune on the top and bottom of 80
meters is turn the little rotary inductor switch one notch beyond the bypass
position, and the rig tunes with no problem.

And, it at least seems to work somewhat. Worked W1AW/0 from South Dakota on
30 meters about an hour ago. The TS480 auto-tuner itself wouldn't tune on
30, but it does with the extender.

Hope to see a number of folks in the contest.

Subject: Working the NAQP CW Contest Today

I will be working the contest as part of a 5 member team.

Keep your fingers crossed that the bands will not fly away for the day.

At this writing, I am hearing Europe on 15 meters. The strongest signal is
9A1K on 21.018.

Maybe 15 will give us a few stateside signals by contest time.

Otherwise, look for me on 20, 40, and perhaps 80 later this evening if the
QRN permits.
