I had the previous incarnation of these headphones.  Still use them for work.  wear them for up to 4 hours at a stretch with no discomfort.
The cord appears to be cloth covered and extremely flexible.

I’ve used my current pair at work for nearly two years with no shorting.

If I could find an equivalent set with a boom mic, I’d buy three.
