You are changing the shift, but your still reading the receive
frequency. To see where transmit is set, press the reverse key which
will then read where transmit is set as you've temparily reversed it.
Hope that makes sense. You then switch back when you are done checking.
I have the a button on my microphone defined as a voice key. I can
send you what I set in my menus, have the d key assigned as an enter key
so you can enter a freq or memory. With the a key defined as voice, I
don't have to press anythng on the radio.
