I have not been miss tuning my finals. Its just one of them things with tubes, if it is a tube. Tube quality the past few years has been poor.
There also could be a transistor responsible for the driver tube which could be blown. When I 1ST got the 102 a few years ago, it had suffered considerable damage being shipped to me and in fact I got taken for a ride.
Even though I sent it to florida for restoration, its possible that even this failing transistor could have been missed. As for springing for a rig, I don't think I'll be purchasing anything right now, just looking for an amp keying cable for the 570 and I'll use it should my 102 have to return to florida.
