with windows that new, you're about limited to outpost which is a good 
program, I hope the new version is still as god as the older ones were. I 
installed my version a few years ago and saw no reason to upgrade so never 
did but I know at lest up to version 2.6 is good with jaws. I'd doubt if 
you'll find a cable with usb on one end and db-25 on the other, I've never 
seen one, you'll have to get a USB to serial then a serial cable with the 
db-25 male on one end and db-9 female on the other which are still very easy 
to find last time I tried. I run the KPC-3 plus here and have for many years 
and even have a spare one, one of the few things I still have a backup for 
and mine runs 24-7. I have a desktop at the radio desk though which has 
serial ports in it so for now don't need any serial to USB converters on 
that setup and hopefully enough XP machines to last a long time because the 
newer the version of windows the more difficult things become with stuff 
like that.
