Thanks for all your responses regarding the Y verses the W styled mast wall
brackets. In the past, I have just used U-bolts, like Carolyn suggested, and
I have fashioned my own too as some of you have said you did, but in my
current situation, I want to use a mast wall mounting bracket designed for
that task, and I can only find the W styled bracket, which I prefer, in a 4
inch stand-off design. The 6, 12, 18 inch, versions are all the Y design,
which I am not familiar with and know nothing about. So, I was simply asking
if any of you are familiar with the Y styled bracket, and if so, do they
work okay, and if you happen to be familiar with both styles, is the Y style
as good as the W styled brackets?

According to John, the Y styled bracket is just as good as the W design.
Thanks, John, for your feedback. That is helpful. Is there anyone else here
on our list that has any experience with these brackets, especially the Y
style, and if so, do they seem to work okay for you?

In doing quite a bit of research online, I am surprised at how few choices
there are any more when it comes to these kinds of items. Obviously, the
market has really shrunken, and there just isn't much of any demand for this
stuff anymore.

I have used the y style ones. There's not much if any real difference than
minor design changes, they're just as strong as the other ones. I wouldn't
worry about it.
