Try explaining to your XYL, 1, Why you wanna trade a perfectly good 18 month old, bought brand new, FT-450 for an old 1983 FT-102 and then when it arrives beet up pretty bad, 2, you gotta spend another 800CAN to have a Gentleman in Florida restore it. LOL
My XYL has no interest except the money end of it. My FT-102 completely restored with matching speaker and desk mic cost a total of about 2000CAN and my FT-450 Station was about 1800. LOL
My FT-102 though, my dream transceiver, fell in love with it when I made my 1ST HF contact back in 2001.
