Yeh, I think I messed it up again. It appears my grid square is em10, not
em17. I'm at 30 26' 21" N by 97 37' 11" W. The Maidenhead web page shows
that as em10ek.
Thanks Lloyd.

I'm sure that NM80 wouldn't be right. The M and the 7 in EM17 indicate that
you are between 27 and 28 degrees north. The E indicates that you are
between 80 and 100 degrees west, and the 1 says that you are between 96 and
98 degrees west. People don't use all 6 characters unless they are working
in the microwave range, or perhaps for some specific contests. Typical
exchange is the four-character grid square. Perhaps I'll work one of you on
6 meters some day.

Well maybe my grid is em17. QRZ.com shows em17iq along with nm80tk. Not
sure about this, but I should probably get it right before making more qsos.

I checked out 6 meter cw, and worked NC, fm04, from NM80, Pflugerville, TX.
I think that grid is right. I used my latitude/longitude with the grid
mapper by QRZ.com, and got nm80tk. I'm new to this grid thing, so hope
that's right.
