Hello everyone. This is just to let you know, UPS is finally paying up on what they owe. It took a lot of calls (including a few to the corporate HQ) before I got any action. I will be reimbursed the full insurance value of replacement and the entire cost of shipping and packaging. The check will be in my hands on  Friday.

Now, all I need is to decide on which radio. from what I understand, the kenwood TS-480 is recent enough to use the newer speech synth modules. I will have to dig up the email from one of the users here that has one he offered for $800.

Anyway, WOO HOO!
