Dave,

While I have a Winkeyer USB, I don't use the  same logger as you. 
However I remember that when Tom got his a few months ago and we chatted 
off list, he not only had a comm port issue he had to resolve, his unit 
  was set up to key on the key2 RCA jack instead of Key1.  Maybe if 
everything else is set up right, try switching to the other key  jack on 
the winkeyer.   The 2 bottom ones are for keying.  1 is on the left and 
2 on the right when looking at the rear of the unit.   The top 2  jacks 
are for PTT, which  I don't need.
