Hi, all.

Please forgive me, since I know this has been discussed several times
already on the list. . In fact, I think it came up a couple of years ago on
a discussion thread in which I was involved.

Basically, I've just re-confirmed an interesting observation here in the
home shack. When I run my TS590 with my Astron RS35 linear power supply and
rig-runner, I only get 75 watts out of my TS590. I did the testing on 40
meters where my DXCC gives me a solid 1.1 to 1 SWR reading both with the SWR
meter in the TS590, and my TW1.

Just for kicks, I disconnected my TS590 from the rigrunner and Astron RS35,
and tried a Kenwood PS53 linear supply that I also have here in the shack.
When I keyed up the TS590 with the Kenwood supply, I got a solid 100 watts
out of the rig.

This leads me to believe that the voltage on my Astron RS35 may be slightly
lower than the TS590 would like to see.

Could someone give me some safe and full-proof instructions for raising the
RS35 foltage level?

I know some on the list have done this, and survived the experience.
(smile)

It may be a while until I get to do this, and I'm not going to obsess about
the slightly lower output power with the TS590 and RS35. But, it would be
nice to get the full 100 watts out of the rig when running barefoot if at
all possible.

Of course, in the meantime, I'll check and clean all of my RS35 and
rig-runner connections to be sure that nothing else might be contributing to
the problem.

Thanks much, from Tom Behler: KB8TYJ
